New Experienced Volunteers Join the WATER Team
We are delighted to announce that we are able to further strengthen our management team with the appointment of a Fundraising Manager and a Social Media Manager.

Caroline Beardsworth – Fundraising Manager
Caroline has twenty years’ experience in a variety of events and fundraising positions. As Deputy Director of the Corporate Partnerships team at Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Caroline helped to deliver significant donations for the hospital and its patients. Caroline oversaw management of 30 accounts, including Morgan Stanley, Disney and Marks and Spencer, as well as working with the Corporate Board (volunteer leaders of industry) to secure new partnerships.
For 14 years Caroline and her family lived in a water mill on a tributary of the Erme. She believes that if you are feeling out of sorts, or having a day without purpose, this can be turned around by a visit to the Erme river and estuary. There is simply no better place on Earth.

Kurt Borth – Social Media Manager
Kurt is a sustainability behaviour change specialist with almost 20 years professional and academic experience. He has also been a university lecturer in sustainability and natural resource management.
He is active on social media and has managed and co-created marketing campaigns in all his past roles. Kurt currently leads the Plymouth Net Zero Partnership and chairs the engagement/behaviour working group which shares best practices on influencing Plymothians to take action on climate change.
Kurt lives in Modbury and he and his wife are regular visitors to Wonwell and know the Erme well.
